To make this delightful dish, you'll need chopped bacon, lean ground beef, minced garlic, diced onions, diced red and green bell peppers, Bush’s Original baked beans, Sweet Baby Ray’s Hickory and Brown Sugar barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
Start by crisping up chopped bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once brown and crispy, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate using a slotted spoon.
Cook lean ground beef in the same skillet, ensuring it's crumbled well. Drain excess grease, then add minced garlic, diced onions, and bell peppers. Cook until onions are translucent.
Reduce heat, add Bush’s Original baked beans, and stir. Introduce Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Combine until well-mixed.
Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread the bean mixture evenly. Sprinkle the cooked bacon pieces on top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for forty minutes.
After baking, allow the dish to rest for ten minutes. This ensures the sauce thickens up, creating a hearty dinner loaded with flavors.
Serve the Baked Beans with Ground Beef as a main dish or a delightful side. This comforting fusion of slow-cooked beans and seasoned ground beef promises a mouthwatering journey for your taste buds.
